Distress Ink Card Techniques
Happy Birthday Ink Smooshing
What a nice technique! I cut the watercolor paper with a Memory Box Stitched Rectangles die. I used Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean Distress Inks for the background. I stamped the flower and birthday sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embellished the card with Pretty Pink Posh crystal clear sequins and a clear Spectrum Noir sparkle pen. The card layer and base are Stampin' Up! Basic Black card stock and Whisper White thick card stock.
This card ended up completely different than what I had planned, so the balance is a little off. After many attempts to use a die cut sentiment, i realized it wasn't going to work out for me. Lots of frustration before deciding to give it up. At least the background came out nicely.
Thank you, @jennshurkus, for teaching us this simple but beautiful technique.
