Required Supplies
Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!
-
Planner There are a wide variety of pretty planners out there and if you are a planner girl like me, you probably have more than one. Just pick one to start this project and have fun!
-
Patterned Paper You'll want something that will stand out in your planner. I usually choose a designer collection, like in this case with Amy Tangerine “Finders Keepers” and Dear Lizzy “Documentary”, but it’s also always fun to pull together a collection from your stash with beautiful colors that could combine with the color of your planner.
-
Embellishments, Stamps, Rub-Ons and Twine You probably have tons of bits and pieces from different collections. One fun thing you can do is combine your ephemera by the colors you would like to include in your project decoration. Twine is a cute way to add that final touch to your decoration and it can be also a great way to close your interactive flaps!
-
Scissors Scissors are a must have for any crafty girl! I love to use a pair of Precision Scissors because they are perfect for detailed and close cutting on paper, vellum, photos and more.
-
Pencil & Eraser You will need these to make some soft marks on your papers to be sure of your measurements.
-
Adhesives There are a great variety of adhesives, but for the kind of projects we are going to share I highly recommend you choose a Dot Tape Runner, and a Super Sticky Red tape especially for attaching heavy embellishments and pockets.
-
Paper Trimmer A paper trimmer can help us make our projects accurate and easier, so it’s always a good idea to have one on hand. But of course you can always count with your favorite pair of scissors.
-
WRMK Envelope Punch Board This is a top tool for making envelopes and pockets, and this time I’ll also be using it to make other projects! I’ll share with you how to make some cute little folders and corner finishes that would make your projects look even prettier.
-
WRMK Crop-A-Dile I love to use this wonderful tool! Although you can use a single hole punch or a six hole punch to punch your dashboards, this tool can punch through more paper layers very easily, and keep in mind we are going to make some fun fold-outs and layers. Plus, you can also attach your eyelets with it, as we are going to do for some projects in our class.
-
Scoring Board I would say this is a must-have for paper crafting! As we are going to fold our papers several times using specific measures, this tool will help us to make our projects faster and accurate. But if you don’t have one, don’t worry! You can always use your craft bone or craft knife, your ruler and a pair of your favorite scissors to make your folds.
-
Circle Punches I’ll be using some circle punches for our projects in our lessons. The ¾” inch hole punch is perfect to help us make our eyelet closures. And the 1” and the 2” inches circle punches can help us making top openings on pockets.

Must have! A willingness to experiment, try new things, make mistakes and PLAY! Making interactive elements especially when we have to take in count specific measures, is an awesome opportunity to ignite our creativity and have fun. And I have to make a confession here… I’m always buying duplicates of my favorite pattern papers, just in case I mess up! Because, as my son taught me, we all mess up sometimes… and (mom) it’s okay, as long as we learn from our mistakes... I believe this is part of the learning process! So try! Come on, get your supplies and rock it!
