Required Supplies

Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!

1. Recycled materials such as papers, boxes, fabric, paper bags, gift bags, gift cards etc) You will need these to make the pages and cover of your journal
2. Awl To poke holes in your signatures prior to binding
3. Thread (waxed linen, embroidery cotton, or regular sewing cotton) To bind your journal together
4. Book-binding Needle (or an extra large needle) To bind your journal together
5. Scissors or a paper cutter To cut your pages to size
6. Tape Runner or Glue To join your gift bag together to make a cover
7. Ephemera (such as magazine pages, tissue paper, gelli prints, scraps of paper, newspaper, book pages etc) To collage a background layer for your art journal page
8. Acrylic Paint For art journaling
9. Matte Gel Medium, or Matte Medium, or white glue To stick down the ephemera
10. Muslin/Gauze To add texture to your art journal spread
11. Acrylic Ink For art journaling
12. Stencils To add details to your spread
13. Brushes For painting
14. Catalyst Wedge or Credit Card For scraping paint
15. Posca Paint Pens For writing and adding details to your spread
16. Gesso To seal your pages if necessary
17. Watercolours For art journaling
18. Glue Stick For glueing down items
