Asymetrical Balance
I had a harder time understanding this one. Did I get the general idea on the left side of the page? The only thing I don't like about doing it like this is that there is all that open space. I can't figure out how to fill it. I like this layout overall, though, and am excited that I finally finished lesson 1! :)
*I'm sorry it uploaded vertically....the site won't let me rotate or change it, no matter how I rotate it in my computer. If someone knows how to change it, please let me know.*

I think it's a well-balanced page and I really like the list journalling as well. Nice way to get a lot of photos on a layout and still have a strong focal point.

@HannahBrown98 - The left side is definitely balanced. I can see how all of the white space bothers you, but I do like a bit of white space on my layouts! It allows you a place for your eyes to rest a bit from all of the information we tend to add. What if you added your journaling to a 3"x 4" journaling card and added it next to the photo of the birthday boy? Then you could add a little more embellishment to the bottom left photo to balance the addition of the card. That would allow you to add more photos or, even better, a bit of embellishment or another journaling card on the right side of your spread, that matches the left side.
