Techniques For Striking Card Backgrounds
Required Supplies
Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!
-
Distress Inks We will use Distress Inks for Ink Blending a Background in one of the lessons, plus use them for Watercoloring!
-
Watercolor Cardstock We will use a lot of water in one of the upcoming lessons and this cardstock works the best, because it can handle a lot of water.
-
Small solid Icon stamps We will use the solid images to create our own patterned paper for the background, so you will need a stamp set that includes at least one solid image.
-
Stencil In one of the lessons we will use a stencil for added texture, so you want to make sure to have one on hand. If you don't have one - you can easily create your own using a die-cutting machine.
-
Texture/ Embossing Paste We will use white embossing paste and color it on our own for a fun background, so you'll want to have a pot on hand ;)
-
Die- cut You can either use your digital die-cutting machine to use a cut file or your manual machine and a steel/ metal die to create your background piece.
