Traveler's Notebook Basics
Calendar Books
Many years ago I kept a planner to track billable time for work and personal items - I have missed putting paper to pen since the purchase of my first PDA. So, while I am waiting for my new Traveler's Notebook cover and inserts to come in the mail, I decided to create my own calendar booklets. I set up 4 books that cover 3 months each with 2 pages for each week which I personalized with important dates and events. I used MS Word to create the pages and 2-sided card stock from my stash for the covers. I don't have a stapler long enough to reach so, since my passion is quilting, I turned to my sewing machine and stitched a single line in the longest stitch possible down the center. I then cut a 1" wide strip to bind the folded edge of the cover. I have already started 'decorating' the covers and look forward to lots of practical creative time filling the pages on the inside. Thank you for the inspiration!

What great ideas! I was thinking about making my own inserts too, and I have some bookmaking tools from a long-ago class on handmade books, so I think I'll dig out my needles, waxed cords, and gaffer's tape and go to town. Thanks for the inspiration!
