I think probably the light colors make it so it doesn\'t look like a huge difference. If you have some mists you could try it with them, maybe that will work better. I didn\'t try this on other papers, but I think watercolor paper would probably work best. As for watercolors... Tough decision! Both options are really high quality. Maybe go by colors and price? I really love bright, as you know, so the Joanne\'s Palette set from Peerless is a great choice and I think it costs about 15$. There\'s something about peerless, they are just so bright and translucent... I do like the Tambi big set, and for our purposes you will probably never need another, but it is pricey... Is that helpful at all?? Lol... Probably not ;) Thanks for sharing your projects!! Although I did wet half the paper and not the other half, I don\'t really see much of a difference between the wet and the dry ... perhaps just a touch lighter. Two factors perhaps? : I bought mixed media paper instead of watercolour (it appears I don\'t know how to read ;), which is quite smooth and it says \"vellum finish\" .... hmmm probably not the right stuff?. Then, my watercolours at the moment are just the cheapy 10$ set. I am trying to decide between the peerless and the Kuretake Gansai Tambi. I am leaning toward to Kuretake. Any thoughts??
