
5 Ways to Use Hand Lettering
Required Supplies
Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!

silhouette cameo I will show you how to create their own hand lettered cut file.

iron on or regular vinyl I will show you how to create your own hand lettered cut file to create on a pillow, t-shirt, etc using iron on material or it can be cut out in regular vinyl and adhered to most anything.

embossing pen, brush tip preferred I will demonstrate hand lettering using an embossing pen (any embossing pen will work)

embossing powder I will demonstrate hand lettering using an embossing pen and then will use embossing powder over it to create an embossed image. Any color will work!

heat tool We will use a heat tool to heat the embossing powder, melting it, to create an embossed image

any watercolors I will show you how to create custom hand lettered pieces for your home or craft projects, they can be used anywhere, using watercolors.

water brush pen or paint brush We will use a brush to hand letter using the watercolors

watercolor paper or watercolor canvas We will be using watercolors to hand letter, watercolor paper or canvas is the best for your final product

any black felt pen or markers We will be hand lettering my cut file image on paper first, it needs to be a dark, solid, high contrast image

pencil and paper I will use a paper and pencil to sketch any work first before I write or paint my final product

any camera Once we have drawn an image, we will take a picture of it and save it to a computer and then open it up in the Silhouette software

paint pen (acrylic or oil based) We will be creating framed art on the back of glass using a paint pen/marker. We will also use this on the tote bag

any chalkboard surface I will be hand lettering on a chalkboard

chalk or chalk pen We will be using chalk and chalk pens to letter on the chalkboard

tote bag (or any canvas fabric item) I will be hand lettering on a tote bag, but you can choose any canvas fabric item
