The act of creating is a part of who I am. Without my many hobbies, I just can't begin to imagine the person I'd be at this point in time. My all-time favorite gift growing up was a large suitcase FULL of crafting supplies. From an early age, I've had a deep desire to make things. On a professional level, teaching is the icing on my cake. While I have experience working in the crafting industry for over a decade now in various fields (public relations, writing, editing, product design, and project design), teaching is the one area that absolutely stands out as my favorite. The ability it allows me to connect with others who share my passion for making brings me more joy than I can begin to express. And while I may be the "teacher," I learn from my students each and every time I'm given an opportunity to connect with them. It's a fulfilling exchange that fills my tank and feeds my soul. Personally, I share my life with the most supportive husband on the planet. Honestly, the stuff he puts up with... He's my cheerleader, my therapist, my sounding board, my love. We have one daughter, Maggie, who is my heartbeat. She makes life feel complete. I cannot imagine not having her beautiful spirit filling our home with laughter, music, compassion, and curiosity. I'm also the mom to two wild but loving pups, Jack and Kisses. Between a toddler and two jack russell terriers, you can surly imagine the wild ride that I call everyday life.
